Description
This is what amounts to a “cut” signature of Hall of legendary Pitcher, Allie Reynolds. This was obtained through the mail 40 years ago and is actually 1/2 of an index card. Reynolds was a great signer through the mail and index cards were a good and inexpensive way for a kid to collect. This signature is in a top loader and framed with an 8x10 photo of the baseball legend.Allie Reynolds (1917-1994) was a very dependable Pitcher the Cleveland Indians and New York Yankees 1942-1954. He was an All-Star and World Series Champion on six occasions. He threw two No-Hitters and led the League in Strikeouts twice as well. In 1951, Reynolds won the Hickok Belt, which recognized him as the top American athlete of the year. In 1952 he’d live up to the honor by leading the American League in ERA!
Reynolds name comes up often in Hall Of Fame discussions but thus far he has not been honored with induction.
This 40 year old item is in nice shape with no real issues that I can see, and the signature is bold and clean. The index card has toned with age but does not affect the item. It is personalized and signed “Regards”. It is in a glass front, clip type frame which is included. This item comes from a smoke free home.
