. Lord Ganesh is worshiped and adored by Hindus and Buddhists alike. Kalong Pottery was produced in the Lanna Kingdom of Chiang Rai (what is now Chiang Rai Thailand) from the 14th to the 16th centuries. Needless to say these pieces are extremely rare and highly sought after. The region of
Lanna, a local word in Northern Thailand, that refers to the territory covering the upper Ping and Kok River basins which during the 14th-16th centuries included the area of the provinces of Chiang Rai, Chiang Mai, Phrae, Nan, Phayao, Lamphun and Lampang, and some parts of China and Laos. This area was once known as the Kingdom of Lanna (Lanna Kingdom was also known as the Kingdom of a million rice fields)
