    Description

    Leslie "Charlie" Spikes (b.1951) known as "The Bogaluga Bomber" is a former right-handed hitting outfielder, and 1st round pick in the 1969 MLB Draft by the Yankees.  He played 9 seasons in the majors for the Yankees (1972), Indians (1973-1977), Tigers (1978), and Braves (1979-1980). Spikes hit .246 in 670 games, with 65 HRs, 256 RBIs, and had his best season in 1974, hitting .271, with 22 HRs, 80 RBIs, and 10 stolen bases.
