    Gaston played in the major leagues for the Atlanta Braves (1967, 9 games), expansion San Diego Padres (1969-1974), Braves again (1975-1978) and Pittsburgh Pirates (1978, 2 games). Overall in 1,026 games he hit .256 with 91 home runs. He had two stints as manager of the Toronto Blue Jays: 1989-1997 and 2008-2010. In 2002 he was inducted into the Canadian Baseball Hall of Fame. In 2011 he was inducted into the Ontario Sports Hall of Fame. Gaston is now 77 years old, residing in Oldsmar, Florida.
