Description
Electronic Row Counter for Sock Knitting MachineThe counter is all-electronic and uses no magnets. It can easily be installed on Autoknitter, Legare and Gearhart sock machines as well as most other machines with 5/16 (.312) inch diameter masts. A Proximity Sensor attaches to the mast of the sock knitting machine using one of the two brackets that are supplied. When the yarn carrier (or any metal object) passes in front of the tip of the Proximity Sensor, and up to about 1/8 (.125) inches away from it, a count is added to the total. A reset button on top of the Display Module resets the count to zero. This is a powered counter and the 12v Power Adapter (supplied) must be plugged into an AC receptacle for the counter to work. A 12v rechargeable battery (purchased separately) can also be used instead of the 12v Power Adapter. I do not sell the battery but can provide information on where to buy one.
The sock machine in the photos shows how the bracket and proximity sensor is attached.
No part of the sock machine is included with the counter.
The counter consists of the following components:
1) A three digit Display Module with RESET button. The display has .56 inch high lighted numbers.
2) An all-electronic Proximity Sensor that plugs into the bottom of the display module.
3) A 12v Power Adapter that plugs into the rear of the display module.
4) A 12v Extension Cable - 36 inches long.
5) Two sensor brackets - one to be used with a straight mast and one to be used with an offset mast.
6) Installation Instructions.
The Electronic Row Counter is .95 plus .00 postage to anywhere in the US.
If you have any questions about the installation or operation of the counter, please contact me.
