Cuban born Jacinto "Jackie Hernandez (Zulueta) (1940-2019) was a right-handed hitting shortstop, who played all or parts of 9 seasons in the majors for the Angels (1965-1966), Twins (1967-1968), KC Royals (1969-1970), and Pirates (1971-1973). Hernandez played in 618 games, hitting .208, with 12 HRs, and 121 RBIs. In his only season of playing everday, in 1969, he played in 145 games, hitting .222, with 4 HRs, 40 RBIs, and 17 stolen bases. He was a member of the Pirates 1971 world championship team, and played in 11 games, hitting .226.
