    Description

    John Kerr (1898-1983) played all or parts of 8 seasons in the majors for the Tigers (1923-1924), White Sox (1929-1931), and Senators (1932-1934). A right-handed hitting infielder (primarily a 2nd baseman), he played in 471 games, hitting .266, with 6 HRs, and 145 RBIs. Kerr had his best season in 1931, hitting .268 in 128 games, with 2 HRs, and 50 RBIs, and was a member of the Senators' 1933 pennant winning team, appearing in 1 game of the W.S., with no at-bat. He coached for the Senators in 1935.
