    Description

    Max Prop Classic 14" 3-Blade RH or LH Automatic Feathering Propeller 1" Shaft
    This refurbished Max Prop (Milan, Italy) 14", 3-blade, automatic feather propeller for 1" shaft is complete with all components and everything necessary to install except basic hand tools.  (RACERS NOTE:  THESE ARE FASTER THAN FOLDING PROPELLERS BUT USUALLY ENTAIL THE SAME PENALTY) The condition is excellent with only one external cosmetic blemish caused by someone removing it from the shaft.  Internal condition is like new; all internal gear teeth and other surfaces are bright and sharp without evidence of wear or other damage.  On installation it can be set up for RH or LH rotation and 4.6-15.1 pitch (10 to 30 degrees of blade angle).  To view the manual, including pitch adjustment and installation, see (https://www.pyiinc.com/downloads/max-prop/max-prop-3-blade-classic-instructions.pdf).
    This is a complete kit with everything you will need to install the propeller except anti-fouling paint (available from PYI, inc.) and basic tools.  Included are:
    1) 14", 3-blade propeller, used, refurbished and complete with all parts and a new zinc from PYI, Inc.
    2) Pair of new Max Prop secure pins (used to lock the "no drill" shaft nut so it cannot loosen).
    3) Recommended grease kit as sold by PYI - 3 new 10oz tubes of Lubriplate 130-AA, grease fittings, grease gun, plugs and allen wrench.  This is enough for years of use.
    4) Bag of stainless cotter pins to secure all screws so they cannot loosen (as sold by PYI, Inc.).
    5) The cut-off end of the old propeller shaft.  This is useful if the installing technician wishes to practice before installing it at the boat yard (recommended if he has never installed one before - it is tricky but only needs to be done once).  It is also useful as a pattern if you need to have your shaft machined (the machine shop will thank you and may give you a huge discount).
    6) Advice - if you tell us the rotation and pitch you need we will provide you with a step-by-step guide to installing the propeller.  You can figure this out by reading the manual but we can help if requested.
