    Description

    The current mainstream models are QHY5L-II, including color version (QHY5L-II-C) and black and white version (QHY5L-II-M).
    For guide stars, it is strongly recommended to use black and white version.
    Because the sensitivity of the black and white version is higher than that of the color, it is more conducive to finding the weak
    star as the guided star. For the entry of the planet, you can choose the QHY5L-II-C color camera.
    The QHY5L-II is a new QHY CMOS camera for planetary imaging applications, which can also be used as an auto-guider.
    Unlike older CMOS technologies the QHY5L-II has no fixed pattern noise, and there's no random horizontal noise.
    This camera has high FPS performance: up to 200fps @ 320 x 240 and the Mono version has a quantum efficiency (QE) of 75%,
    making basic deep sky imaging possible. Camera is 1.25" EP diameter and now has a native C or CS mount as standard.
    Choose this camera if you require an all in one camera with planetary, guiding & basic deep sky capabilities at a very affordable price.
    The QHY5L-II-M is a black and white CMOS camera with up to 1.2 megapixels and high quantum efficiency.
    Designed to fit the eyepiece with a 1.25-inch eyepiece.
    The ultra-small pixel size of 3.75um allows for higher magnification factors, eliminating the need for high-boom mirrors,
    making high-magnification planetary photography easier.
    QHY5L-II-M adopts the latest CMOS imaging technology, with extremely high sensitivity, QE reaches 75%,
    and the imaging is even and delicate. There is no vertical or horizontal stripe often seen in traditional CMOS cameras,
    and the frame rate of 1.2 million pixels is 30 frames/second. Up to 75/sec for 800*600 and 200 frames/sec for 320*240

    Planetary Imaging
    With a frame rate range of between 30 and 200 frames, the QHY5L-II camera is an instrument best suited for capturing planetary images.
    Although high frame rates help reduce the amount of atmospheric agitation that influences the image, they also result in short exposure times.
    Lunar Imaging
    The QHY5L-II also makes achieving high resolution lunar images a simple task. Image stacking will result in highly detailed images of the lunar surface.
    Deep Sky Imaging
    Even though the QHY5L-II is not a cooled camera, it still has the capacity to take bright images of deep sky objects.
    This is especially true of small galaxies and planetary nebulae. Ordinarily, this can be done via short exposures and large quantity stacking.
    You may have to enable EZPlanetary's auto-dark frame subtract function to get concurrent dark frame calibration to eliminate the thermal
    noise on images with long exposure times. Please note you will need to reload the auto-dark frame calibration if you have altered the gain or exposure time.
    AutoGuiding
    The QHY5L-II is an acclaimed autoguiding camera. In 2015, QHY came out with a miniGuideScope made specifically for QHY5L-II cameras.
    This can be found in the accessories section at the bottom left of this page. The QHY5L-II is compact and lightweight, making it the perfect
    camera component of an ultra portable guide system. The monochrome version has a 74% high QE and you can locate the guidestar anywhere.
