Extension tube provides extra focuser "back travel" often needed for short-range terrestrial viewing through a telescope, or for astrophotographic applications.
Adds 2" of extension, fits in 2" telescope focusers, and accepts 2" eyepieces or accessories.
Features two locking thumbscrews to secure any inserted astronomy accessory.
Threaded for use with 2" Orion eyepiece and astrophotography filters
Machined and anodized aluminum tube.
This anodized, aluminum 2" Orion Eyepiece Extension Tube provides extra focuser "back travel" sometimes needed to achieve focus with certain eyepiece/telescope combinations. More back travel is often needed for short-range terrestrial viewing or with use of a field flattener, coma corrector, or focal reducer lens. We also have a 1.25" model available, which fits 1.25" eyepieces and 2" eyepieces, respectively. Each adds 2" of length extension. Each also has two locking thumbscrews and is threaded for filters.**
