Filled and ready to use. The trigger is a bit stiff, however... but this is a good thing if you have kids around.

I already have one of these lighters. How do you refill them?
Answer: My lighter has a small hole in the back of the handle that provides access to a smaller brass check valve. If you have that then just follow the instructions that came with your butane refill.

Is there something you need to press/hold to get it to light or do you only need to pull the trigger?
Answer: I only need to pull the trigger and then hold it to keep the flame burning.

Sometimes u have to pull the trigger a few times, also u have to hold through trigger after pulling it, make sure it has fluid in it also!!!!

Okay, barbecue and candle lighters are just not exciting but these are really nice. They have an adjustable flame setting, easy to click to light and are supposedly refillable. Even if they were not refillable they are a great bargain and work very well.
