M27 Newton 130PDS SVBONY SV305 CLS filter
Sony has developed the approx 2.13M effective pixel back illuminated CMOS image sensor IMX290LQR with improved sensitivity in the visible-light and near infrared light regions for industrial applications.
128MB DDR Buffer
The SV305 has a built-in 128MB DDRII image buffer. The benefit of the image buffer is that the memory will cache the image and transfer it to the computer when the USB interface is not busy or being interrupted, and the frame will not be lost or corrupted. This buffer also allows a slower computer with USB 2.0 socket to capture every frame without loss even if the USB socket is occasionally busy with other peripherals. This buffer also makes it possible to run multiple cameras using one computer without USB transfer problems.
Back-illuminated structure with 2.9um-square unit pixel
High sensitivity characteristics (two or more times that of the existing product)
Improved sensitivity in the near infrared light region (three or more times that of the existing product)
Support WDR (multiple exposure WDR, DOL-WDR)
Versatile interface (CMOS parallel, low-voltage LVDS serial, MIPI CSI-2)
Back-illuminated (BSI) CMOS Sensor
The SV305 uses an extremely sensitive CMOS sensor, the Sony IMX290. This sensor has very high QE, and very low (0.7e-) read noise, which improved sensitivity in the visible-light and near infrared light regions for industrial applications.
Any Area ROI Support
The SV305 has ROI function. A smaller region of interest (ROI) is read out from the sensor, leaving the image scale of the object being imaged, unchanged. Allow arbitrary resolutions to be set.
ADC 12bit
The SV305 camera offers 8 bit RAW output or 12 bit.
Installing the WINDOWS driver and the ASCOM driver in windows system, the SV305 can run firecapture software.

Some questions you may care about:
Q: I can only see the green screen, I can’t get a clear image. Does the camera is defected?
A
: Svbony SV305 planetary camera designed with GRGB color. So when you get a green image, don’t be worried, it doesn’t means the camera is a defected one, just change/adjust the white balance, until you could get a normal image.
Q: I can use the SV105 camera, and get some clear images. However, the 305 doesn’t show any image, just the dark screen. What should I do?
A
: The SV305 is totally different with the SV105 camera. The SV305 is designed with the SONY IMX290 sensor, it is more sensitive. And its exposure time is from 0 to 1800s, so when you first time to use it, adjust the exposure time, you could get different images. Longer exposure time, you could get more light come in. it won’t be dark screen if you toward to a bright target.
Q
:
Can I use the SV305 planetary camera with Mac OS?
A
: Nope, the SV305 could not work with Mac OS now.
First step, Svbony produce the Windows SDK and Driver for SV305, so you could only use the SV305 with Windows system. Thanks very much for Robin support the SV305 in sharpcap software.
Second step, Svbony produce the Linux SDK and Driver for SV305 camera. You could also use your SV305 camera with Linux system now, by working with the AstroDMx software for Linux.
Q:
Why the Gain only shows 0 -- 28.1 ?
A
:
For the gain control, the SDK currently reports a minimum value of 10 and a maximum value of 300. SharpCap shows this instead as a range from between 1.0 to 30.0.
The reason for this is that the gain value that SharpCap shows is then a meaningful number – gain 7.5 is 7.5 times brighter than minimum gain, gain 20 is 20 times brighter than minimum gain and so on.
Q:
Can I add filters on SV305?
A
:
The SV305 camera contuned the style of SV105 and SV205 camera, it has standard threads M28.5*0.6 for 1.25" filters. so you could use any Svbony 1.25" filters to the SV305 camera.
