    Description

    Terry "Tito" Francona (b.1959) is a former left-handed hitting 1st baseman/outfielder/pinch-hitter, and former 1st round pick in the 1980 MLB Draft by the Expos. He is currently the manager of the Cleveland Indians. He played 10 seasons for the Expos 91981-1985), Cubs (1986), Reds (1987), Indians (1988), and Brewers (1989-1990). He hit .274 in 707 games, with 16 HRs, and 143 RBIs, and played in the 1981 NLDS & NLCS for the Expos, hitting .308 in 7 games. Francona has been a major league manager since 1997, for the Phillies (1997-2000), Red Sox (2004-2011), and Indians since 2013. In 21 seasons thus far, he has won 3 pennants (2 with the Red Sox), and 2 W.S.,(both with the Red Sox). He has been struggling the last 2 seasons with health issues, and has recently taken the rest of the 2021 season off due to medical issues. His father, Tito (1933-2018) played 15 seasons in the majors.
