    Description

    Tim Wallach (b.1957) was a 1st round pick in the 1979 MLB Draft by the Montreal Expos. A right-handed hitting 3rd baseman, Wallach played 17 seasons in the majors for the Expos (1980-1992), Dodgers (1993-1995 & 1996), And Angels (1996). A 5-time All-Star & 3-time gold glove winner, he played in 2212 games, hitting .257, with 2085 hits, 260 HRs, and 1125 RBIs. He had 5 seasons of 20+ HRs,with a career best 28 in 1982. In 1987, Wallach hit .298, with 26 HRs, career high 123 RBIs, with a league leading 42 doubles (led the league with 42 doubles again in 1989), finishing 4th in MVP, and making the All-Star team. He played in 3 NLDS & 1 NLCS, hitting .071 in 11 games. Wallach later was hitting coach for the Dodgers (2004-2005 & 2011-2015), and Marlins (2016-2019). He was inducted into the College Baseball HOF in 2011, and Canadian Baseball HOf in 2014.
