Unfortunately many VW owners think saving a few bucks by buying an Empi rear main seal is a good idea and instead find themselves pulling that engine to replace the seal again while all their friends are out cruising. What's worse is the potential for an oil-soaked clutch disc which then makes saving a few bucks on the seal more than a time waster -  it becomes a pricey project!
But - when you use the best quality rear main seal on the market  - a German-made silicone one from Elring, you'll spend more time driving your VW instead of working on it! Elring was the original manufacturer for VW for this seal and they know what they're doing. If your engine still leaks oil after installing it you've either made a mistake on the installation or you've got case issues.
